Memorial services for Daniel H. Bolhuis, 71, of Glenville will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Glenville. The Rev. Jim Rushton will officiate. Daniel died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.

Daniel H. Bolhuis was born on May 1, 1942, in rural Hollandale, the son of Lawrence and Minnie (Kuiper) Bolhuis. He was baptized at the Hollandale Reformed Church and attended the West Side Country School in Hollandale and Albert Lea High School. Daniel worked for Wilson’s/Farmstead Foods and various farmers in the Hollandale area. On Dec. 12, 1975, he was united in marriage to Gloria Monson Belshan at the Little Brown Church. Daniel cherished the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing and trapping. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and maintaining his lawn and garden. Daniel was a member of First Lutheran Church, Glenville.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Debbie Bolhuis (Mark Moody) and David (Lorene) Bolhuis; stepchildren: Julie (Brent) Jensen, Troy Belshan, Wade Belshan and Beth Belshan; grandchildren: Nicole Bolhuis and fiancé Kyle, Dylan Bolhuis and special friend Aaron, Cole (Sara) Tlamka, Brandon Tlamka, Jenna (Eli) Riggle, Trinity Belshan, Tasha Belshan, Nastassia Adams, Dakota Keithley and Hanna Jo Keithley; great-grandchildren: Kinley Adams and Haidyn Riggle; sisters: Ann Noordock and Trina (Marvin) Espe and several nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, brother Henry and brother-in-law Bill Noordock and niece Kelly Maher.
