Ursula Velma Behnke, 84, of Minnesota Lake, died on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. The Rev. Thomas Niehaus will officiate and interment will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Minnesota Lake. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Ursula Velma Behnke was born Oct. 27, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Hattie (Kullot) Stadulski in Aylesbury, Saskatchewan, Canada. She attended school in Mapleton. On Oct. 21, 1947, Ursula was united in marriage to Duane Behnke in Mapleton. Ursula had worked at the Winnebago canning factory, and after her marriage, she worked on the farm with her husband, Duane. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, along with the Minnesota Lake American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, canning and had an extensive stamp collection.

Ursula is survived by three sons Jerome (Sue) Behnke of Winnebago, Neil (Lori) Behnke of Minnesota Lake and Michael (Joanne) Behnke of Solon, Ohio; six grandchildren, Mandy (Jay) Zabel, Alison Behnke (Scott), Jeremy Behnke (Roz), Jessica (David) Janssen, Mariel Behnke and Grant Behnke; three great-grandchildren Jared, Annie and Blake Zabel; sister, Jean Evan of Minnesota Lake; along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Duane; brother, Raymond Stadulski; and sister, Margaret Stadulski.
