Police led on car chase

Albert Lea police were led on a chase by driver David Dudley Rosethal, 50, at 11:44 p.m. Friday. Rosethal was arrested for felony fleeing, third-degree test refusal, fourth-degree DWI and not having a valid driver’s license, according to reports.

 

Suspicious activity spotted

At 4:02 p.m. Friday, two suspicious men were reported in the 800 block of Bridge Ave. The men were described as being in their 20s and were last seen heading northbound from Zion Lutheran Church, according to Albert Lea Police.

A suspicious person was reported breaking into a car at 1:37 a.m. Saturday at 1204 Plainview Lane.

A suspicious person was reported at 609 E. Main St. at 9 p.m. Sunday to police. A blue Dodge Ram truck has been parked in the lot for more than two hours. According to the report, the person was on the phone and scratching off lottery tickets.

 

Burglary reported

GENEVA — The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a white man wearing a dark hat tried to break in the front door at 106 Central Ave. N. in Geneva at 3:23 a.m. Friday. According to the report, the man left on foot, and a crow bar was recovered; he did not gain entry.

 

Damage to vehicles reported

EMMONS — A window was reported busted out of a 2007 Toyota Camry at 8:25 a.m. Sunday at 257 E. State St., according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Albert Lea police received report of a 2000 silver Crown Victoria being keyed at the intersection of West Clark Street and South St. Mary Ave. at 10:52 a.m. Saturday.

 

Police respond to hit-and-runs

A 1999 Chrysler 300 was reportedly hit while parked behind Tiger City Sports at 11:09 a.m. Saturday, according to police reports.

A hit-and-run was reported to police at 5:41 p.m. Saturday at 1705 South Shore Drive.

 

Vehicle stolen

A vehicle was reported stolen from the parking lot behind Aragon Bar at 12:09 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

 

Property reported stolen

A theft was reported to police at Walmart at 4:45 p.m. Saturday. The report states two people left in a silver car with property.

A male was taken into custody after police received a theft report at 7 p.m. Saturday at Walmart. Joshua David Scott, 25, was arrested for shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia.
