‘Habit of Art’ coming to screen

Published 11:16 am Thursday, January 2, 2014

The Marion Ross Performing Arts Center will present “The Habit of Art,” an acclaimed play by Alan Bennett.

The presentation from England will be shown on a widescreen as part of National Theatre Live on at 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for students and are available at actonbroadway.com.

According to the release, “Alan Bennett’s play is as much about the theater as it is about poetry or music. It looks at the unsettling desires of two difficult men, and at the ethics of biography. It reflects on growing old, on creativity and inspiration, and on persisting when all passion’s spent: ultimately, on the habit of art.”
