Pantry grateful for donations

The Ecumenical Food Pantry once again is participating in the statewide March fundraising campaign initiated by the Minnesota Food Share organization. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year for our food pantry.

All dollar and food donations stay locally. The big advantage for us receiving donations during March is that, based on our totals, we receive a percentage of the $1 million that Minnesota Food Share has already received from its sponsors and also a share of the $1 million Feinstein Challenge. This is a great opportunity to stretch your donations and make a big impact on our food pantry.

Current economic factors mean many households must choose between paying bills and buying food. We are able to stretch dollars donated by purchasing through our regional food bank, Channel One Regional Food Bank in Rochester. We gratefully accept food donations not only during March but all year long. Your donations provide a welcome variety to the foods we distribute.

Our community has generously supported the Ecumenical Food Pantry in the past and, once again, we need your help. Please consider helping our friends and neighbors during the March campaign by sending a donation to Ecumenical Food Pantry, 308 Water St., Albert Lea or dropping off a donation. Thank you so much for caring and giving!
