Recycle containers save in long run

Published 9:28 am Friday, February 21, 2014

Recently, the county distributed containers for recycling and the staunchiest conservatives will not use them on the capitalistic principle that is costs more than it saves.

Garbage lasts a very, very long time with long-term consequences so even if recyclables were thrown into a dump, they could go to a cheaper dump. Ordinary garbage can leach, produce methane and pits costs much more to construct. If problems arise, taxes for cleanup will be used because profits are private but problems are public.

If money is the only criteria, recycling could enable some people to rent smaller, cheaper Dumpsters. Don’t be so lazy.
