A reader in Alden sent us this photo of a semitrailer blocking Minnesota Highway 109’s intersection with Interstate 90. The roads were especially slippery Friday morning following the blizzard and the Department of Transportation was advising against travel, yet truckers drove anyway. Roads could be much safer if truckers were allowed more grace time for weather and were under less pressure to venture despite blizzards and other lousy weather conditions. --Submitted
