You Can Help

The following are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any of them or would like to volunteer for others, call Carrie Paulson, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director at Senior Resources at 377-7433.

Arc of Freeborn County: Volunteers are needed for the all-you-can eat breakfast featuring Dad’s Belgian Waffles next Sunday. The following shifts are available for volunteers to help out: 8 to 11 a.m., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. We need people to help unload supplies at 7:45 a.m. and to load after the breakfast. If you can help out, please contact Jo Lowe at 377-3469 or  Paulson at 377-7433.

Taste of Heritage: Volunteers are needed for the event from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 5 at Northbridge Mall. Volunteers are needed to help with the children’s area crafts and games. Materials and instructions will be provided. What a fun event for our community! If you are able to help please call Paulson at 377-7433.

Egg Hunt: Volunteers are needed to help prepare for this fun event. We will be stuffing eggs at 1 p.m.  on April 8 in the community room at Senior Towers. If you are able to help out call Jennifer Davis at 377-4370 or Paulson at 377-7433.

Semcac/Senior Towers & Shady Oaks: Volunteers are needed Monday to deliver meals from Senior Tower to Shady Oaks at 10:30 a.m. We only need one more person to help with this, can you be that person? Please call Paulson at 377-7433 if you can help with this vital service.
