House burgled

A house at 810 S. First Ave. was reported broken into at 9:45 a.m. Monday.

 

2 men arrested for DWI

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Lucas Gregory Hanson for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 1:37 a.m. Sunday at 331 S. Broadway in Albert Lea.

Police arrested Nathan James Buchli, 31, for second-degree driving while intoxicated at 7:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report from someone in the emergency room of Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea of a man on a four-wheeler who was driving carelessly.

 

Damage reported

Windows were reported smashed out at 11:32 a.m. Monday at 2201 E. Main St.

A mailbox was reported knocked down at 10:42 a.m. Monday at 2025 Stevens St.

A mailbox was reported smashed at 10:08 a.m. Sunday at 2043 Kevin Drive.

 

Teen allegedly assaulted

Albert Lea police received a report of a teenage boy who was reportedly assaulted on the Blazing Star Trail at 2:26 p.m. Friday.

 

Man arrested for assault

Police arrested Levi Troy Dahl, 19, for domestic assault and false imprisonment after receiving a report at 8:13 p.m. Friday from the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea of a woman who was assaulted.

 

Man arrested for drug possession, other violations

Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested Douglas James Benham, 27, for multiple violations after a traffic stop at 6:17 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Minnesota Highway 13 and Freeborn County Road 35. Reports stated he was arrested for fifth-degree drug possession and was cited for a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, cancelled driver’s license and having no insurance.

 

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported near the intersection of South Broadway and East Front Street at 3:15 p.m. Saturday. A motorcycle was reportedly hit by a vehicle. No other information was available.

 

Gas-drive-off reported

A gas drive-off was reported at 3:20 p.m. Saturday at Nelson’s Shell station, 116 Bridge Ave. The driver took about $30 in gasoline.

 

Items stolen

A motor from an air conditioner at 1012 St. Joseph Ave. was reported stolen at 4:17 p.m. Saturday. Other property was also damaged.

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle at 2751 E. Main St. at 11:35 p.m. Saturday. A driver’s license, Social Security card, $10 in cash and a debit card were taken.

 

1 cited for underage drinking 

Police cited Taylor Maureen Voves, 20, for underage drinking after a traffic stop at 3:59 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Ramsey Street.

 

Man cited for disorderly conduct

Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies cited Michael James Foster for disorderly conduct at 10:46 p.m. Friday at 101 First St. S.E. in Geneva.
