Five trumpeters from Lyon, France, are on their debut tour for Allied Concerts.

The instrumental group was formed in 1989 by five musicians who trained at the academies of music and universities in Lyon. The same musicians still make up the group.

They all play trumpets ranging in size from the high-pitched piccolo trumpet to the large bass trumpet, with the more commonly known trumpets as well as the cornet and flugelhorn.

The group, Les Trompettes de Lyon, will play at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Albert Lea High School auditorium. Admission is by ticket only, and tickets are available at the Albert Lea Convention Visitors Bureau.
