As far as nightlife goes in Albert Lea, there’s a little bit of something for everyone.

Depending on the place, the local scene offers karaoke, DJs, pool, darts and dancing.

Start off the night with dinner and drinks at 112 on Broadway and maybe some live music, depending on who’s lined up to play that day. The bar and restaurant, named for its address on South Broadway in downtown Albert Lea, routinely posts what musical acts to expect on its Facebook page.

Next, go over to Harold’s Bar to shoot some pool. Harold’s, 1318 E. Main St. in Albert Lea, has been a local staple for over 50 years. Joe Morales of Ellendale and Cathy Witke of New Richland have been playing pool there for years.

Karaoke is offered after 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays at Eddie’s, 719 Marshall St. in Albert Lea. Leroy Crosby of Albert Lea can almost always be found there on karaoke nights with the promise of entertainment.

“It’s always a good night out,” said Crosby. “If you want to be entertained, come see Leroy.”

Finish the night off with some dancing at Nasty Habit Saloon, or sit back and watch the light and smoke show across the dance floor. Nasty Habit, 134 W. William St. in Albert Lea, is open the latest out of most of the area watering holes. It’s open until 2 a.m. every night, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
