Dr. Mark and Allison Ciota of Albert Lea announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexandra Maria, to Trevor William Carolan. Trevor is the son of Debbie Carolan of Charles City, Iowa, and Gregory Carolan of Solon, Iowa.

Grandparents of the bride are Wayne and K Erickson of Winona.
Grandmothers of the groom are Ruby Carolan and Arris Eckstein, both of Newhall, Iowa.
Alexandra is a 2009 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2013 graduate of Wartburg College, graduating with a degree in biology. She is currently studying at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis.
Trevor is a 2007 graduate of Charles City High School in Charles City, Iowa. He graduated from Wartburg College in 2011 with a degree in political science and received his juris doctorate degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2014. He is currently employed at a law firm in St. Paul.
An Aug. 9, 2014, wedding is planned at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis.
