Motorcyclist injured in crash

A 54-year-old Albert Lea man was injured Saturday morning after his motorcycle collided with an SUV on East Main Street.

Police stated Del Michael Haroldson was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for moderate injuries after a crash at 9:01 a.m.

According to the report, Haroldson was driving eastbound on Main Street when he collided with an SUV driven by Grace Viola Gjersvik, 18, of Alden, that was crossing Main Street from Prospect Avenue. The motorcycle hit the driver’s side door of the SUV.

Haroldson was wearing a helmet.

Gjersvik was cited for failure to yield.

 

Theft reported

A theft was reported at 12:24 a.m. Thursday at 2401 Ethel Ave. The police logs did not indicate what was taken.

 

Man arrested for domestic assault

Albert Lea police arrested Jacob Joseph Cibert, 24, for domestic assault, disorderly conduct and interference with a 911 call at 7:36 p.m. Thursday at 902 James Ave.

 

Transformer reportedly struck by lightning

A transformer was reported struck by lightning at 7:36 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of West Main Street and Wedgewood Road. Authorities were unable to find this.
