This is to Larry, the young man behind me at Hy-Vee’s checkout line at about 7 p.m. July 17. You paid for my groceries, and when I protested you said, “Pay it forward.” I want you to know that because of your kindness, I am sending a check for 10 times the amount of my groceries to Salvation Army’s food program in your honor.
