I am deeply disgusted at the blatant disregard to our city. It’s no wonder today’s youth have no respect for our city or our planet.

I was driving to work this morning, July 4, and I took notice of all the trash and garbage littering the parade route. All I can say is “shame on you” to all of the pigs who just left all of this garbage in the street and on the boulevards.

How can we expect our kids to care if we don’t show them we do? I, for one, carried out two grocery bags of garbage when we left the parade Thursday night. How hard would that have been for everyone to pick up their own and just a little more?

Evidently it’s asking too much of people. So to those who carried out your trash, I thank you. But to those who left it, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Way to be good role models.
