EDEN PRAIRIE — Police have officially closed their investigation into last year’s disappearance of a 24-year-old Eden Prairie woman whose body was found nearly six months later in central Minnesota.

Reports said hundreds of pages of police documents were released this week in the disappearance of Mandy Matula.

Matula disappeared May 1, 2013. Investigators determined that ex-boyfriend David Roe shot Matula in an Eden Prairie church parking lot before burying her body at a park near St. Cloud.

The next day, Roe fatally shot himself in the Eden Prairie police parking lot. Hundreds of volunteers and law officers searched for Matula. A hiker found her body in October.

Matula’s father, Wayne, says getting the file doesn’t bring the family much closure, since there were few details they didn’t already know.
