1 injured in crash south of Manly

A Manly, Iowa, woman was injured Wednesday afternoon after her vehicle collided with a semi on U.S. Highway 65 south of Manly in Worth County.

Valentina Stevens, 53, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Her condition as of press time is unknown.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Stevens was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 65 near 340th Street in a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu when she crossed the center line into the path of a 2005 Kenworth semi, driven by Douglas Madison, 43, of Clarks Grove. The semi was headed southbound.

The report states Madison took the semi to the shoulder to avoid impact, but was not able to avoid the collision altogether.

The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Office and Mason City fire, rescue and ambulance services assisted.

 

Woman arrested for DWI

Albert Lea police arrested Sherri Lynn Adams, 52, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, third-degree test refusal and obstructing justice at 3:18 a.m. today at 1210 E. Main St.

 

Stolen vehicle recovered

A vehicle stolen from 814 Frank Ave., Albert Lea, was reportedly recovered in Medford at 3:54 a.m. Thursday. Two juvenile males had taken the vehicle.

 

Driver’s license, credit card stolen

A credit card and driver’s license were reported stolen sometime within the last week from 72366 239th St., Albert Lea, according to reports.
