Man arrested after chase

Albert Lea police arrested Oscar Paul Delossantos, 46, for multiple charges after he reportedly led police on a short vehicle chase and foot chase Friday evening.

Delossantos is facing charges including felony fleeing police, fleeing an officer on foot, driving after cancellation, possession of marijuana, reckless driving, speeding and no proof of insurance.

According to reports, officers were in route to check on a warrant when they saw Delossantos traveling at a high rate of speed on James Avenue near Frank Avenue. He was estimated to have been driving 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.

The report stated an officer activated his lights but Delossantos did not stop. He pulled into a driveway and then took off running on foot behind the houses. He was arrested near the 300 block of Fifth Street.

 

Man arrested on social host violation

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Andrew John Hareid on a social host violation at 11:58 p.m. Saturday at 304 First Ave. S.E. in Geneva after receiving a report of a loud party in a garage.

 

Break-ins reported

A storage unit was reported broken into at 12:46 p.m. Saturday at 81027 Freeborn County Road 46. The caller had last been at the storage unit a week prior.

A vehicle was reported rummaged through at 1:46 p.m. Friday in the north lot of the Tribune, 808 W. Front St. The incident reportedly took place earlier that morning, and a vehicle key was taken.

 

Man arrested for meth

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Christopher Lloyd Vanryswyk for fifth-degree methamphetamine possession at 12:33 a.m. Sunday at 1010 Park St. in Freeborn.

 

Boy shot by BB gun

A boy was reported shot in the back by a BB gun from another child at 7:48 p.m. Friday at 614 Freeborn Ave. The report stated police talked with all of the parties involved.

 

2 cited for marijuana

Albert Lea police cited Michael Kortz, 51, and Mikhail Robert Johnson, 25, for possession of a small amount of marijuana at 11:02 p.m. Friday in the Walmart parking lot, 1550 Blake Ave.

 

Gas tanks stolen

A gas tank with gasoline valued at $75 was reported stolen from a boat dock at 8:45 a.m. Saturday.

A gas tank was reported stolen at 5:14 p.m. Sunday from a boat off of Lake Shore Drive.

 

2 cited for disorderly conduct

Albert Lea police cited Cesar S. Gomez, 20, and Bodean William Truesdell, 30, for disorderly conduct after receiving a report at 4:39 p.m. Saturday of two men fighting at the Dollar Tree, 2308 Hendrickson Road.

 

1 cited for theft

Albert Lea police cited Cody Allen Williamson, 18, for misdemeanor theft at 7:27 p.m. Saturday from Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

 

Suspicious male reported

Albert Lea police received a report at 10:25 p.m. Saturday of a man with no clothes on walking around in the 900 block of East 14th Street. The man appeared to be intoxicated.
