In choosing someone to represent us in the coming elections, it is important to remember that our current representative, Shannon Savick, along with Gov. Mark Dayton, were staunch supporters of redefining marriage in Minnesota. Although the people of District 27A overwhelmingly support traditional marriage, Savick insisted on voting to redefine marriage in Minnesota.

This is one of the many important reasons that I will be voting for Peggy Bennett as the next representative of District 27A. She will be a leader who strongly supports traditional marriage and will work to strengthen marriage and family life in Minnesota. In addition, unlike Rep. Savick, Peggy will strongly defend pro-life legislation such as ending taxpayer funding for abortions. She will be a leader who puts people before politics.

Whether or not you hold the biblical view on marriage, please reflect on the fact that for thousands of years, societies (including governments) have supported the one-man, one-woman complementarity of marriage as the very fabric that held civilization together. It is the height of arrogance to think that in 21st century, politicians like Rep. Savick and Gov. Dayton think they know better.
