BUFFALO — Wright County authorities have charged a couple in connection with the kidnapping of an Albion Township man who has been missing for more than three weeks.

Twenty-eight year-old Robert Nuttall and 33-year-old Gwen Butcher were in jail Sunday following the charges filed Friday. Nuttall is charged with kidnapping 25-year-old Christopher Rossing. Butcher is charged with aiding an offender after the fact.

Sheriff Joe Hagerty said Rossing had a physical altercation with Nuttall early on Aug. 23 along a highway in Howard Lake before he went missing. The charges say the two had been drinking earlier. Rossing’s car was found in Howard Lake four days later.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Rossing.

It wasn’t immediate clear if Nuttall and Butcher have attorneys.
