ST. PAUL — A former girls’ tennis coach at Visitation School in Mendota Heights accused of having sex with a student is now charged with violating a restraining order barring him from contacting her.

Twenty-seven-year-old Daniel Erik Hubbard-Wilson of St. Paul had bailed out of jail after he was charged in early October in the sexual assault case. He was charged Thursday with one count of violating a harassment restraining order.

The new complaint alleges Hubbard-Wilson tricked the underage girl into following him on social media and then secretly met with her. The charges also allege Hubbard-Wilson tried to convince her to alter information she had shared with police.

Hubbard-Wilson earlier was charged with first- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct. The complaint alleges he became sexually involved with the girl last year when she was 15.
