Fire safety at St. Casimir’s School

The kindergarten through third-grade students at St. Casimir’s School participated in the annual Fire Safety Coloring Contest. To enter the contest, the students were asked to choose a safety trip and then draw and color it. The students chose such tips as, “Change smoke alarm batteries regularly,” “Stop, drop and roll” and “Once out, stay out!”  The students winning fire trucks, complete with a working siren, were Bella Roberts, kindergarten, Michael Oldham, first grade, Emma Johnson, second grade and Destiny Chavez, third grade. The students were presented their prizes Nov. 14 by local firemen Saxon Warmka and Ryan Sonnek with the Easton Fire Department, Chance Kimpton from the Wells Fire Department and Arlen O’Brien from Bricelyn. – Provided
