Glenda Louise Mackay, 74, of Albert Lea died Dec. 23, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys campus, Rochester. Glenda was born March 23, 1940, to George Asa and Helen M. (Phelps) Baker in Meadville, Pa., where

she grew up and attended school. She attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. She married Donald Mackay on Aug. 11, 1962, in Linesville, Pa. Glenda was a secretary at Crane Community Church in Austin until her death. Besides Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Minnesota, Glenda and Don lived in Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, California and Colorado where Don was a church pastor and taught at Bible colleges during those years. They moved to Albert Lea in 1984. A member of Faith E. Free Church in Austin, Glenda enjoyed camping, gardening, canoeing, homemaking and teaching children.

Survivors include her husband, Don Mackay Sr. of Albert Lea; a daughter, Becky Mackay Olson of Albert Lea; a son, Don (Amanda) Mackay Jr. of Austin; four grandchildren, Amanda Olson, Danielle Olson, Emma Mackay and Keegan Mackay; one great-granddaughter, Avah Patton; a brother, J. Lee Baker of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Diana Baker Hanson of Florida; Pam Baker Gee of Linesville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Baker Oskin.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crane Community Chapel in Austin with the Revs. Mike Sager and Dale Christiansen officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
