Seniors thankful for young singers

On Dec. 15, the Albert Lea High School choir (consisting of  sophomores, juniors and seniors) came to the Senior Towers during the Semcac lunch and performed a mini-concert. There were about 80 students, who were happy to get out of school, and they performed for us seniors.  The program was excellent!

I thank the choir director and pianist but mostly the choir. The music was greatly appreciated and the selections performed professionally. Anyone who has not heard this choir has really missed a great chance to hear some great harmonies. To you young people, we might have looked like a bunch of “old people,” but you brought joy into the life of many; some who have not had visitors for years.

Remember that we were once young (your age) and had the same dreams as you, but in our “later years,” we also enjoy seeing the dreams in your eyes. Your performance meant a lot to a lot of people. Keep your dreams alive and continue to sing for us that can no any longer sing. What you did might be just to get out of school, but it meant a lot to a lot of people. Thank you for that! Go Tigers!
