Albert Lea dancers recognized by Big Nine Conference

Five Albert Lea dancers received awards at the Big Nine Conference championship Jan. 17 at Rochester Mayo. The Albert Lea varsity dance team took third place Saturday at the Big Nine Conference championship at Rochester Mayo. The varsity and JV teams will both compete Saturday at the Simley Dance Team Invitational at Inver Grove Heights. The Tigers will host their showcase in the Albert Lea gym at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The teams will perform their competition routines as they prepare for the Section 1AA tournament, as well as feature dancers from local studios Just For Kix and Unlimited Possibilities Dance Studio. — Provided
