The Ecumenical Food Pantry is again participating in the statewide March fundraising campaign initiated by the Minnesota FoodShare organization. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year for our food pantry.

The big advantage for us receiving donations during March is that, based on our totals, we receive a percentage of the $1 million that Minnesota FoodShare has already received from its sponsors and also a share of the $1 million Feinstein Challenge. This is a great opportunity to stretch your donations and make a large impact on our food pantry.

Current economic factors mean many households must choose between paying bills and buying food. We are able to stretch dollars donated by purchasing through Channel One Regional Food Bank in Rochester. We gratefully accept food donations not only during March, but all year long. Your donations provide a welcome variety to the foods we distribute.

Our community has generously supported the Ecumenical Food Pantry in the past and once again we need your help. Please consider helping our friends and neighbors during the March campaign by sending a donation to Ecumenical Food pantry, 308 Water St. in Albert Lea, or by dropping off a donation.
