Man arrested for DWI

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jose Gerardo Lopez Jr., 34, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after receiving a careless driving complaint at 2:08 a.m. Sunday on southbound Interstate 35 near Exit 11 to Albert Lea.

 

Man arrested for meth, firearms

Deputies arrested Quentin Lamont Guyton, 27, for three-degree meth possession and felony possession of firearms after a traffic stop at 2:21 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of East Front Street and South Newton Avenue.

 

1 injured in crash

One person was reportedly transported to the hospital after a crash at 5:43 a.m. Friday involving a pickup and a four-wheeler at 200 Main St. in Hayward. Justin Paul Lee, 26, was arrested for driving after revocation, having no insurance, failure to transfer title and failure to yield right of way. Reports stated Lee was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea to be checked out and then transported to the Freeborn County Jail. Additional information was unavailable as of press time.

 

Windows broken out, damage found

A window was reported broken out of a pickup at 3:40 a.m. Friday at 1804 Johnson St.

A window was reported broken at 3:58 a.m. Friday at 1703 Johnson St.

Police received a report at 10:07 a.m. Friday of a basement window that was broken at 115 Lake Ave. Holes were also reported in the siding.

Damage was reported to a fence at 7:52 p.m. Sunday at 120 Sixth St. S.E. in Glenville.

 

Gas drive-off reported

A gas drive-off was re ported at 5:11 p.m. Friday at 1311 W. Front St.

 

Man arrested for domestic assault

Police arrested Adrial Benjiman Mendez, 23, for domestic assault at 9:04 p.m. Friday at 624 E. Hawthorne St.

 

2 cited for marijuana

Police cited Marcus Anthony Melendez, 21, for possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop at 10:38 p.m. Friday on Front Street near the intersection of the Blazing Star Trail.

Police cited Omar Rodriguez, 21, for possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop at 12:45 a.m. today near the intersection of West Front Street and Third Avenue.

 

Counterfeit bill spotted

A counterfeit $20 bill was reported at 11:49 a.m. Saturday at Eastside Liquor, 2314 Hendrickson Road.

 

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 4:33 p.m. Sunday at 820 Happy Trails Lane.

 

Items stolen

Items were reported stolen out of a garage at 1621 Olsen Drive at 4:50 p.m. Sunday.

Parts were reported stolen from a skid loader at 9:54 a.m. Friday at 11139 850th Ave. in Glenville.
