Kiester’s Farming of Yesteryear sponsored its annual tractor pull on Sunday at its permanent location south of Kiester. The event featured antique tractors up to 1970. Pulls were classified with nine weight categories under the stock class, six categories under the open class and one category under the unlimited class. Farmall, John Deere, Oliver and Minneapolis Moline were the featured models of the antique tractors.

There was also a new event this year during the tractor pull featuring a farmers draft horse pull class which was  a non-competitive event meant to be a demonstration for spectators. Three teams of horses participated.

The 32nd annual Threshing Festival, sponsored by Farming of Yesteryear, is planned for this fall from Sept. 12 through Sept. 13 at the same location.
