1 arrested after person slashed with knife

One person was arrested after someone was reportedly slashed with knife at 11:16 a.m. Friday at 1206 St. Joseph Ave. in Albert Lea. The alleged incident was reportedly over a vehicle.

Police arrested Adam Ly Haas for aiding and abetting and second-degree assault at 10:45 p.m. Saturday at 933 Jefferson Ave. in Albert Lea in connection with the incident.

The alleged 29-year-old male victim reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Albert Lea Police Department. More information will be released once the criminal complaint is done.

Police are looking for another suspect in connection with the alleged incident.

 

Shooting reported

A man reportedly cleaning his gun apparently shot himself in the leg and was taken to the emergency room Sunday morning at 300 W. Clark St. in Albert Lea. His Injuries were reportedly minor. The incident was reported at 10 a.m.

 

Criminal damage to property reported

Ten monuments were reported tipped over at 2:27 p.m. Friday at Graceland Cemetery. Damage was estimated at $800. A suspect hasn’t been identified, according to the Albert Lea Police Department.

 

Man turns himself in on robbery

Aaron Alexander Atchison reportedly wanted to turn himself in from Thursday’s strong-armed robbery at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Front Street at 2:07 a.m. Sunday at 1214 Foothills Circle in Albert Lea.

 

4 arrested on warrants

Jonathan Kevin Whelan was arrested on a local warrant at 1:25 p.m. Friday at the Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center.

Yoshio Joshua Herrera and Jasmine Michael Newman-Evans were arrested on local warrants at 9:31 p.m. Sunday at 606 Water St. in Albert Lea.

Oscar Paul Delossantos Jr. was arrested on a local warrant and fleeing on foot at 4:16 a.m. Monday at the intersection of East Main Street and St. Peter Avenue in Albert Lea.

 

1 arrested for theft

A man was arrested after allegedly stealing a can of air Friday afternoon at Walmart in Albert Lea. The male was described as being an African-American male in a green jacket and blue jeans. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was later released and taken to jail.

 

1 arrested for assault

Police arrested Jesse David Anderson for gross misdemeanor domestic assault at 10:25 p.m. Friday at 2009 Tower Road in Albert Lea.

 

1 arrested for DWI 

Police arrested Jason Aenoi Souphasavatch for second-degree gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated at 2:53 a.m. Saturday at 2411 Milo Ave. in Albert Lea. His blood alcohol content was reportedly measured at .18.

 

Man arrested for forgery, other violations

Leonel Grande-Evangelista was arrested for driving after revocation, aggravated forgery and forgery at 10:02 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of East 17th Street and Gene Avenue in Albert Lea.

 

Thefts reported

A theft of a bicycle was reported at 2:21 p.m. Friday at 811 Clausen Ave. in Albert Lea.

A wallet was reported stolen at 9:08 p.m. Friday at 211 Adams Ave. in Albert Lea. The wallet was reportedly taken from the residence between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Friday.
