Start Smart will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at Northwood City Hall, 512 Central Ave. in Northwood. This session is co-sponsored by Winn-Worth Betco.

The second class offering will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 16 at NIACC Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, room 117.

The activities involved in starting a business fall under two broad categories: feasibility and administrative tasks. While focusing on the feasibility issue, Start Smart provides information and the chance to ask questions on numerous other topics including business registration, customer research, start-up costs and business plan tips.

After attending Start Smart, SBDC staff will be available to assist attendants in reviewing their business plan, or to provide guidance with other issues.

To register, contact Mary Spitz at 641-422-4342 or spitzmar@niacc.edu.
