The other night there was a letter to the editor greatly disparaging life in Albert Lea. I guess if I felt the way the writer does, I would move someplace where there are low wages, no amenities, no regulations, gravel streets, no public services and no taxes. It would be cheap living.

I love Albert Lea. It isn’t perfect, but is pretty darn close. As for taxes, I think they are the best bargain anywhere, considering all the services and facilities they buy me.

I wouldn’t consider living anywhere else. Albert Lea is the place to be.
