According to Blue Zones Project Organizational Lead Ellen Kehr, Sibley has been a leader and champion for school initiative, with the designation of Sibley Elementary as a Blue Zones school and now employee wellbeing with its designation as a Blue Zones worksite. They have pioneered best practices and through their dedicated staff provided outreach to all sectors of our community.

Sibley was a driving force in the original Blue Zones pilot project and they continues to provide that level of excellent leadership.

“Business leaders and schools are in a powerful position to dramatically improve employees’ well-being and through that overall community well-being,” Kehr said. “We thank the dedicated staff of Sibley Elementary School for their leadership and outstanding commitment to not only our students but also to the well-being of the Albert Lea workforce and our residents. The Blue Zones Project Albert Lea congratulates them on this achievement.”
