There will be a Skywarn training session at 6:30 p.m. March 7 at Crane Community Chapel, 1111 Ninth St. NE in Austin. Personnel from the LaCrosse National Weather Service will be instructing the training session. The presentation is sponsored by the Austin Amateur Radio Club.

According to a press release, all amateur radio operators, first responders, law enforcement, firefighters and other professionals in need of honing their skills for a storm watch are urged to attend. The meeting is also open to the general public.
