Attempted robbery reported at A.L. Walmart

A male reportedly attempted to rob two other males at knifepoint Wednesday night at Walmart in Albert Lea.

The attempted robbery, which was reported at 9:06 p.m., allegedly took place in the produce aisle at the store, according to police.

A description of the alleged suspect has not been released.

It is unclear whether any money was taken or what kind of knife was used.

The suspect’s vehicle was identified as being a silver Honda with black rims, and was reportedly later found abandoned on Interstate 35, under the Interstate 90 bridge, according to police.
