Informational session scheduled

The Freeborn County Adverse Childhood Experiences Study Committee will host an information session on Adverse Childhood Experiences from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Albert Lea High School auditorium.

The event is free and open to all Freeborn County residents. The keynote speaker will be Mark Sander, a senior clinical psychologist in Hennepin County and the director of school mental health in Hennepin County and Minneapolis Public Schools.

Sander’s presentation will focus on understanding the impact of adverse childhood experiences on our bodies, brains, behavior and social interactions. He will highlight how this understanding will enable us to create promising futures and promote resiliency in ourselves and others.
