Donald Roger Bangs, 69, of Alden died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Parkview Care Center in Wells. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. The Rev. Nancy Overgaard will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Alden Cemetery in Alden.

Donald was born Feb. 17, 1947, in Albert Lea, the son of Walter and Florence (Gustafson) Bangs. He was a 1965 graduate of Alden High School. Don enjoyed tinkering with model cars and trucks. He liked to watch sports and was a fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.

Don is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Annette; three grandchildren; siblings Irene (Daryl) Johnson of Bloomington, Richard (Jean) Bangs of Glenville and David (Marietta) Bangs of Glenville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
