There are many angry and disgruntled citizens in Albert Lea after learning of the moving of the hospital services to Austin. The respect and confidence in those responsible has greatly diminished. (I’m sure they probably couldn’t care less.)

When Mayo came to Albert Lea, I’m sure many thought we were God’s chosen people to have such a facility in our town. The repercussions of this move will be many; for instance, what company would want to build in a town with a rinky-dink hospital? When Mayo monopolized the health care in southern Minnesota, they did us no favors!
