Authorities respond to domestic incidents and other reports

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Kirk Corbett Nielsen, 44, for felony domestic assault by strangulation, gross misdemeanor false imprisonment, gross misdemeanor domestic assault and gross misdemeanor interfering with a 911 call after a 911 hangup call was reported at 9:16 p.m. Thursday at 403 Main St., Freeborn.

A domestic incident was reported at 4:53 p.m. Friday at 1332 Todd Ave. A charge of domestic assault on two people were reported, but names of the people were not listed on police records.

1 arrested for drugs, theft

Albert Lea police arrested Crystal Marie Tupa, 25, for fifth-degree drug possession and misdemeanor theft at 8:58 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

1 arrested for drunken driving

Deputies arrested Christine Harris, 32, for driving while intoxicated after a careless driving complaint was made at 3:20 a.m. Sunday on northbound Interstate 35, near Albert Lea.

Thefts reported

Someone was reported as having broken into a home and taking a $650 Pavilion Notebook laptop at 5:04 p.m. Friday at 1014 James Ave.

A black Samsung phone with a pink case was reported stolen at 6:08 a.m. Saturday at 201 E. Front St.

A firearm was reported lost after the alleged victim had people over to his house the previous night at 10:21 a.m. Saturday at 1006 Dunham St.

Money in the amount of $112 and other items were reported missing from a car that was left unlocked at 5:12 p.m. Saturday at 517 W. Main St.

A silver Trek bike was reported taken at 9:15 p.m. Friday at 1105 Bridge Ave. The incident allegedly occurred earlier in the day.

A light blue Schwinn cruiser-type bicycle with a U-lock and a cable lock locked on it was reported taken off of a porch at 9:27 a.m. Friday at 607 Oak Lane.

An iPhone 6S was reported stolen at 11:03 a.m. Friday at 1105 Bridge Ave. The incident allegedly occurred the previous night.

2 injured after incidents

One person was reported injured after a traffic crash was reported at 11:07 p.m. Thursday at 81600 Freeborn County Road 25. More information was not available at press time.

A female was reported taken by ambulance to the hospital after being bucked from a horse into a fence at 4:14 p.m. Friday at Freeborn County Fairgrounds, Her name was not listed on Sheriff’s Office records.

2 cited for violations

Police cited Veronica Epifania Donate, 37, and Tomas Jimon Juarez, 25, for open bottle violations after a suspicious person was reported at 7:10 p.m. Friday at 806 Frank Ave.

1 arrested on warrant

Daniel Glenn Willert, 50, turned himself in on a local warrant at 3:34 a.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

Child neglect, abuse reported

A child abuse/neglect report was made at 9:46 a.m. Thursday in Freeborn County.

Reports of sex crimes with child victims were made at 9:48 a.m. and 9:49 a.m. Thursday in Freeborn County.

A Department of Human Services report of a sex crime with a child victim was made at 10:17 a.m. Friday in Albert Lea.

Assault reported

Someone reported being hit several times by another female at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at 1105 Bridge Ave.

Truck fire reported

A late 90s or early 2000s Chevy truck was reported fully engulfed at 5:03 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 873rd Avenue and 110th Street, outside Glenville.
