An Albert Lea woman was injured Tuesday in a three-vehicle crash in Albert Lea.

Cheryl Rae Brech, 72, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with chest pain.

The crash occurred when Amber Rae Bergland, 23, was driving a 1998 Pontiac Transport north on Bridge Avenue and was trying to turn left onto Hoeger Lane. Bergland reportedly failed to yield for a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Joseph Henry Kreun, 18, of Albert Lea, who was driving south on Bridge Avenue toward Hoeger Lane, according to Albert Lea police.

After the two vehicles collided, Brech, who was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, did not see the crash and rear-ended the Town & Country, the report states.

The crash was reported at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday at 3402 Hoeger Lane.

Bergland, of Albert Lea, was cited for failing to yield a right-of-way.
