Robert Allen Butler Jr., age 64, of Owatonna, formerly of Medford, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Center following a long battle with cancer.

He was born July 10, 1938, in Newry Township, Freeborn County. He married Jacki Dusek on Nov. 14, 1970, in Medford. They were later divorced. He worked as an auto body mechanic for several years. He enjoyed music and visiting with friends.

Survivors include a son, Garrett Butler of Medford; four brothers: James and Cindy Kuiper of Little Falls, Minn., Bill Kuiper of Owatonna, Harm and Stashia Kuiper

of Albert Lea, and Tom Kuiper of Kasson; and three sisters: Mary Schreiber of Albert Lea, Linda Kuiper of Albert Lea, and Charlene Gangsie of Lake Mills, Iowa.

Visitation was held at the Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna, on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at the Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. The Rev. James Kuiper officiated. Burial will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.

Memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
