Richard L. 'Dick' Aspenson, 77, Stillwater

Richard L. "Dick" Aspenson, age 77, of Stillwater, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002.
He was preceded in death by parents and brother, Robert.
He is survived by wife, Lillian; daughters: Kathryn (James) Arkell, Karen, Paula (Vince) Geiger, and Marcia (Craig) DeWolf; 12 grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Dorothy Rosenberg of Albert Lea, Harold of Oklahoma City, Okla., Gordon of Chisago City, Minn., and Dolly Levisen of Albert Lea.
He was a bombardier/navigator in World War II. In 1950 he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed at Wilson Meat Packing in Albert Lea as chief engineer for five years. He was then employed with 3M for 35 years, retiring in 1990 as the director of energy conservation and utilities.
Dick was a faithful, loving husband and father, and an adored grandpa.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Bethany Evangelical Covenant Church, 6490 N. Stillwater Blvd. Gathering will be two hours prior to service at the church. Private family interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Bayport.
Memorials are preferred to the church, the 700 Club, or the Samaritan's Purse.
