Phyllis "Toni" Ione Pafford, 70, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Phyllis "Toni" Ione Pafford will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea. The Rev. Jake Loper will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the chapel.
Phyllis died on Monday, July 28, 2003, at St. John's Lutheran Home where she had lived since 1997. She was 70 years old.
Phyllis was born in Voorhis, Iowa, on March 30, 1933, the daughter of Walter J. and Zella (Mathews) Lenze.
She was married to Harold Wilds in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1960. She married Joe O'Rourke in 1961. In 1966 she was married to Merlin Pafford and he preceded her in death in 1984.
During her life she had lived in Cedar Falls, Iowa, Glenville, Albert Lea, Emmons and Baraboo, Wis. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Phyllis is survived by three sisters: Wilma (Robert) Jordon of Waterloo, Iowa, Mable "Short" (Roy) Walton of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jeanette "Tina" Hathaway of Burnsville; three brothers: Walter (Alvina) Lenze, Marvin (Lorraine) Lenze, and Albert Lenze, all of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; and one sister, Marzella Schaffer.
