Edward Miller, 88, Findlay, Ohio

Funeral services for Edward K. Miller, age 88, of Findlay, Ohio, formerly of Hollandale, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Hollandale Reformed Church. The Rev. Mark Volkers will officiate. Private interment will be at the Hollandale Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.

Edward died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at Birchaven Retirement Village in Findlay, Ohio.

Edward K. Miller was born Sept. 26, 1915, to Theodore and Espentina Miller in Clarks Grove. He attended elementary school in Clarks Grove and high school in Albert Lea. On June 17, 1937, Edward was united in marriage to Cornelia Verdoorn in Hollandale. Edward worked for Wilson Packing Co. for 10 years and then owned and operated Eddy's Store in Hollandale for 22 years.

While living in Hollandale, he was a member of the Hollandale Reformed Church. After the couple moved to Arizona, Edward was a retail clothing salesman for six years and then a real estate agent in Kansas, Missouri and Colorado for nine years, retiring in 1980. At the present time, he was a member of the Gateway Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Findlay, Ohio, and the Gideon's.

Survivors include his wife, Cornelia of Findlay; sons, Kenneth L. and his wife Donna Miller of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Brent D. and his wife Carolyn Miller of Mainsfield, Mass.; daughter, Sharon Kay and her husband Barrie Lineken of Findlay; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: George, Peter, William, Harry, David and Joe Miller; and sisters, Rose Rasmussen and Lillian Olson.

Memorials may be made to the Gideon's or Hollandale Reformed Church.
