Area deaths for Wednesday

John Colby, 81, Lake Mills, Iowa
John Eli Colby, former president of Eli Colby Co. and longtime resident of Lake Mills, Iowa, died Monday, July 2, 2007, at the Lake Mills Care Center after a long illness. He was 81. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills. Military honors will be conducted by the Otto Chose Post 235 in Lake Mills.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Lake Mills Care Center, 406 S. 10th Ave. E., Lake Mills, Iowa 50450.
