Dorothy Jane Rosenberg, 84, of Albert Lea

The funeral service for Dorothy Jane Rosenberg, of Albert Lea, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Henriksen will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea.

Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church or the Donor's Choice.

Dorothy died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 84 years old.

Dorothy was born April 24, 1920, in Albert Lea, to Olavus and Valborg (Aflangrud) Aspenson. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church. Dorothy graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1937. She has been a Freeborn County resident most of her life. Dorothy married Milton Rosenberg on Sept. 1, 1940, in Albert Lea. She was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, belonged to the church circle, Altar Guild and Bible Study. Dorothy belonged to the Sons of Norway. She enjoyed reading and especially enjoyed being with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Milton Rosenberg of Albert Lea; three sons: Darryl Rosenberg of Fort Myers, Fla., Thomas Rosenberg and his wife Mary of Apple Valley, Minn., and John Rosenberg and his wife Nancy of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Harold Aspenson and his wife Bonnie of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Gordon Aspenson and his wife Betty of Chisago City, Minn.; sister, Ruth "Dolly" Levisen and her husband Paul of Albert Lea; and sister-in-law, Vivian Sumerwell of Vero Beach, Fla.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Robert and Richard Aspenson; and

sister-in-law, Lila Miller.

Dorothy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
