Waseca gets past the Rebels on the court, 4-3
Published Friday, September 29, 2006
The United South Central girls’ tennis team came up just short against Waseca falling 4-3 Thursday.
The Rebels, once again, could not get the top of the singles lineup going.
Jill Stenzel lost her match 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and Andrea Allis also had problems finding her rhythm falling 6-3, 6-0.
Jordan Anderson lost at No. 3 6-3, 6-2 before Carolyn Schmitz broke the pattern with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
USC’s top doubles team of Amanda Redman and Mollly Yokiel lost 5-7, 3-6, but Emma Stenzel and Jessica Stensrud and Kellie Robbins and Alisha Adams both won their matches with the former needing three sets to do it.
