Knights move to 2-0 on young season

Published Friday, August 31, 2007

ALDEN — The Alden-Conger volleyball team continued its winning ways Thursday night against the Awesome Blossoms of Blooming Prairie, downing BP in three games 25-12, 25-12, 25-21.

“It was a good game for the girls,” said Knights head coach Melissa Wasmoen. “They worked really well together and did a good job of passing. We were pretty balanced at the net as the kills were spread out among a lot of players. Overall we are real happy with the way we played.”

The Knights were led by Justine Johnson with seven kills, Krista Mathiason with six kills, and Megan Miller who had 18 set assists on the night.

With the win AC improves to 2-0 on the year and will be in action again Tuesday when they travel to Medford.
