Freeborn County Stampede
Cowboys, cowgirls, fans and clowns turned out at the Freeborn County Fair on Saturday for the inaugural Freeborn County Stampede, which is an official Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association event with the Great Lakes circuit. The event featured bull riding, barrel racing, roping, steer wrestling, bronc riding and even calf chasing. Miss Rodeo Minnesota was there, too. Click on the image below to see the gallery.
The first Freeborn County Stampede had perfect rodeo weather — in other words, a bit on the hot side — and the crowd filled the stands Saturday to see the spectacle. Miss Rodeo Minnesota thrilled the crowd and so did the clowns and the cowboys. Albert Lea welcomed to Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association to town, with intentions to grow the event as the years pass.
Look for official results in the Monday edition of the Albert Lea Tribune, along with front-page photography. Until then, check out the photos in this photo gallery to the right.
