Illegal immigration hurts Minn. in House

Published Friday, December 5, 2008

It seems that another aspect of the many dangers of illegal immigration is about to catch up with Minnesota.

The system of counting illegal aliens and non-citizens in the Federal Census every 10 years — and the use of these figures to establish representation in Congress — is about to take one of Minnesota’s representatives from the House. By law there are only 435 House of Representatives seats to fill. The number of representatives for each state is determined by population.

The distribution of the 435 House seats among the states is determined after the 10-year census. Districts are reapportioned in response to population shifts.

The states receiving the millions of illegal alien population will gain seats. Those states with smaller population increases will lose seats in the House of Representatives. This has not happened to Minnesota since 1960.

The states with more representatives will have the power in the people’s federal government. And of course the states losing representation will have less power.

So what should we do? What is the response of the liberals out there? Should we import more illegal aliens into Minnesota? Or is the more common-sense legal approach going to prevail?

I say stop illegal immigration! Why is this course of action so complicated to so many? We are in danger of losing our state and national voting power, the voting system, and the basis of our democracy as well.

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John McCain and Ted Kennedy and others still covertly plan for amnesty for more than 20 million illegal alien foreign nationals already in our country. Reapportionment caused by illegal aliens is but another piece of destruction of America and a mockery of our Constitution.

This is just funny.

You are using the fact that there aren't enough "illegal" immigrants to argue that there too many "illegal" immigrants.

Poor Minn.

It's just one thing after another with these ILLEGAL ALIENS.

I believe it is up to the States to pass laws like Arizona, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina and a few others. If all 50 States would pass a law, the ILLEGAL ALIENS could soon be out of here. I have to ask, what gives them the RIGHT to be here in the first place? They come here, take our jobs, drop their ANCHORS that we pay for, then we have to school them, take care of their health and the list goes on. When is this going to end?

And let's not forget the BILLIONS upon BILLIONS that is sent out of this Country by the ILLEGAL ALIENS. How is this helping our economy, may I ask? Look at California, 3 million ILLEGAL ALIENS there and it costs the State $9 BILLION a year to keep them. Anyone see a problem with that?

Oh nonsense! What a nativist diatribe! And when the economy is bad, why just blame the foreigners... even if they have become naturalized (sarcasm). But, why is the economy bad? How about the billions of dollars enriching the contractors pockets from war profiteering? How about the bankers on Wall Street?

Gee, it wasn't anchor babies of undocumented immigrants who abused the elders in the nursing home...

And, oh yeah, we SHOULD have immigration reform and give some hard-working people a chance at citizenship, starting with the families of those anchor babies of undocumented citizens who joined our military and who have served and are serving in our latest armed conflict. Step up the citizenship for their immediate family, yes indeed!

BTW, for those who want to divide our country into a red America and a blue America, in your anti-immigrant fervor, why not step across the aisle and shake hands with those other anti-population growth people - the liberals who want to take down the Sierra Club and who would like to see even naturalized citizens banished, rather than just sticking to the original mission of protecting our natural environment.

As for me and mine, like most Americans, and like Obama, we are just mutts too. I think Minnesota and Iowa would be happy to be getting more population, immigrants or not. Did you know Obama is part Irish?

There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama:

I'll take an immigrant who wants to be an American, who masters English, and who works hard any day over the likes of Saxby Chambliss and that unethical Sarah Palin and corrupt Marilyn Musgrave who were down campaigning for him.

Did you all see Saxby's Thanksgiving ad? Watch where his hand goes on his granddaughter at the end of the ad. Where do we breed kids who grow up to abuse their elders in nursing homes?
