Man arrested on multiple charges

Police arrested David Lee Widman, 25, of Wells for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, fleeing a police officer and giving false information to an officer at 10:30 p.m. Monday at the Holiday Inn Express, according to police reports. Reports indicated officers were checking out suspicious vehicles at the hotel when they found a vehicle with a glass pipe and a piece of glass with a black and brown powdery substance spread over it. Officers also found paraphernalia and small plastic bags.

Man cited for DWI

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Jeremy Scott Kallbery for DWI charges after a traffic stop at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Pilot Street at 9:35 p.m. Monday, according to reports.

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run car wreck was reported at the intersection of South Broadway Avenue and East Front Street, according to police reports.
